Cross Platform Question

Hello all,

I need to build a cross platform physcial data guard instance from a Windows 64-bit 11.2 database  to Linux 64-bit 11.2. I have a hot backup including the standby controlfile of the source database taken directly to tape on the Windows machine. I can mount the tape on the Linux machine.

I have no network connectivity between the Windows source machine and the Linux machine. The new physical data guard instance on Linux will be kept in synch using a cascaded redo stream from a Windows physical standby database that shares connectivity with the Windows primary instance. The only network link available is between the Windows physical data guard instance and the new Linux physical data gaurd instance.
