Is it possible to transfer Resource Assignments from one project to another project?

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a functionality that would allow to transfer project resource assingments (People) from a project in Project Management (and I mean not workplan resource assignments) to another project?

We have projects (in a status similar to not signed) in which we plan resources and enter OTL timecards. After a contract is signed we move all the transactions to the new and signed project. Can we also transfer all resource assginments and avoid entering the assignments manualy?

If you have any idea about this please share your knowledge.
