Oracle Database XE User Interface on RHEL x86_64
I have been asked to install Oracle Database Express Edition on a RHEL 5 (required) for x86_64 host. This has been done. The XE database is up and running.
Now, I want to run a backup. The documentation describes only the use of the Oracle Database XE User Interface.
My problem.... I only have a secureCRT session from my windows desktop to the host.
Or, I can open an Oracle Developer Days Virtual Machine and SSH Tunnel to the host with X11 forwarding support.
Is there any way I can run the User Interface from either of these shell connections?
I looked at the $ORACLE_HOME/bin/backup*.sh scripts. They may need switches to run?
