Task Structure - Different Requirements from Project Management & Financials
I am working in the design of a custom to interface projects from a third party system to Oracle Projects.
As per business requirements the task structure in the third party system is defined in accordance with the project phases: project initiation, managing product delivery, closing a project, etc.
In Oracle Projects the requirement is different and the tasks are setup according to the accounting that each expenditure item will generate for a particular combination of project/task/expenditure type and also depending if the task will be a capital task or and expense task. Example: Task A (Capital) and Task B (Expense).
