What is the significance of "Reject Store Order" Item Lookups, under the Ordering Attributes for an

What is the exact significance of "Reject Store Order " field under the Ordering attributes in Item Look up.And where does this value come from in RMS.

My understanding goes like this

• If an item has got auto replenishment set for it, then  there should be a option in the RMS under (Items->Replenishment), to actually reject the store orders, which should mean that when such item is being added while creating a store order, a pop up should come up saying, this item cannot be used or some thing similar.
