Can ASAP product be integrated with Microsoft Active Directory?
By default, ASAP uses WebLogic’s embedded LDAP server as the authentication provider for ASAP users and groups, this is known as the Default Authenticator. You can configure a third-party LDAP server that provides the authentication for ASAP by following the ASAP System Administrator’s Guide (see the section Configuring LDAP with ASAP) and by following the steps outlined in the Fusion Middleware Securing Oracle WebLogic Server (see the section Configuring Authentication Providers). You can use an LDAP Authentication provider to access any LDAP server including Microsoft Active Directory.
While the ASAP product does not test or certify with external LDAP servers, we do provide support to customers that use an external LDAP server. The configuration and testing of the external LDAP server is managed by the end customer or the systems integrator. The client or system integrator can always engage Oracle Consulting as well.
