Oracle Auto Service Request (ASR) version 3.7 is now available - SNMPget customization

Oracle Auto Service Request Release 3.7 enhancements and features include:

  • Solaris FMA SNMPget port number, community string customization:
    Solaris 10 sends SNMP traps to the ASR Manager when faults occur. The ASR Manager uses SNMPget to retrieve the fault details.
    ASR Manager allows you to specify a non-default port number and/or community string for the SNMPget function.
    Note that this setting is for all ASR assets and cannot be configured for each Solaris individually.
  • hostnames in ASR email notifications:
    In response to customer feedback, we've added hostname to ASR notification emails. This will make it easier
    to identify the system associated with a service request or asset status change.
