Does 11gR2 upgrade reset the streams configuration parameters

I am bit confused whether it was caused by the database upgrade or not. In one of my database that was upgraded to 11gR2 from 10.2.0.4, which had streams running, I now notice some extra configuration parameters for the capture and apply streams. One that caught my attention was the apply side's PARALLELISM now set to 4. So wondering if it was caused by the 11gr2 db upgrade or was it there already. Since this was a dev env, anything is possible
