BI Publisher 10g support lifecycle

Hello,
I'm trying to find information on how long Oracle will be supporting the 10g version of BI Publisher.   I have a customer who has 10g & they just brought up a new 11g BI Pub but the 11g is 20% slower in producing the PDF reports that they want to stick with 10g until I can answer why the 11g is 20% slower.   They did the comparison on the same data.   Our reports are accessed through Oracle APEX.   The XML is generated & the BI Pub formats the data in the PDF.

So, I have 2 questions.   One is regarding the life support of 10g bipub & the other is how can I start troubleshooting why the 11g is slower?
