Mass Transaction Number

Hi,

I did a mass transfer and the  mass transactions number field began in number 1. This is good.

Then I did a mass retirement and the  mass transactions number field  took the value of number 21. I want to know why this happened, because I have not made any mass transactions?  The field should take the value 2
