Requisition and Receive Items into Inventory

Please bear with me if this is a stupid question... I'm a technical person, not functional. 

Our user community would like to be able to submit a requisition in iProcurement, and when the item is received, have it automatically increase the inventory count for the item in question.

Is that possible?  If so, can someone point me in the general direction?  I've been scouring user guides for days.
