How does dbca update the tsnnames?

Hello, we have a central tnsnames.ora for some databases on many servers. While creating a new database with dbca the tnsnames.ora has to be changed by this tool. But there is another order in the tnsnames after updating and 40% of the former contained databases is missing. How does the dbca update the tnsnames? What is its source? Can one exclude this update-mechanism? Thanks - Volkhard
