iAssets > Search Tab > Advanced Search. What does the criterion "Period Entered" return?

Hi - we're working on implementing iAssets (we're on 12.1.3) and are working on pilot testing. We noticed a search criterion under Advanced Search that can be added that is called "Period Entered".

When I searched on this, I assumed it would return back results of all the asset records that had been added into core Assets in that given month's period. But it includes not only newly added records but I "think" it's also including assets that have been moved or transfered during that period as well.

Does anyone know what this criterion is actually querying for? What's it picking up?
