relation between inventory organization and operating unit

 Hi there ,
 I am very confused how to set up inventory and operating unit. How do they relate?

I go to Define organization, create  organization (inventory org and ou , both are enable) then I need to create another inventory org within the same OU as I already create but different inventory org. How do I set up?

Please kindly advise.
