unable to download a BLOB from a 11g client connected to 11g server when VLAN/Firewall in place.

Hi,

I have been searching for pointers towards this issue for a while.

Basically when a client machine in directly connect to the server in the same LAN, our application works ok as one of the tasks in to download a BLOB and anyalyse it.

When the client machine is located remotely in a VLAN behind a firewall, SQLPlus works ok, SQL Developper as well for example but the dowload of a BLOB seem not to work and as such the application fails to start.

I have found some items related to Cisco ASA routers, Symantech firewall maybe in various forums, but any input/suggestion would be very welcome.
