Able to see batches in different operating unit

We notice that we are able to see a payment batch in our Canadian Operating Unit when we are doing payments in our US Operating Unit--is this normal behaviour?  We cannot see the individual invoices for the batch in the opposite unit but it is causing a concern for our people in the different units
