Hot backup, Suspend database and Quiesce

 Hi,
I want to take snapshot of data lun of database. We have been using hot backup till now. 
I want to know the Impact and consequence while taking this snapshot backup using  Hot backup, Suspend database and Quiesce, Also please mention the differences.
