Database Backup and Recovery (MOSC)

rman list backup

When I run the rman list backup summary command, I see only one backup (the last one that was run) in the output. I am using controlfile as my rman repository source. Any idea why it is not listing all my previous backups? Is it due to the the RETENTION POLICY configuration in rman set to REDUNDANCY 1?
