Fails to turn on log apply

The log apply is turned off on my standby database (10.2.0.5.0). I try to turn it on using OEM or dgmgrl but it fails. This is the message in the log file: DG 2012-02-22-14:39:49  2010000 4 770700707 DMON: SET_STATE Completed with errors, Object sb_truck failed to achieve State PHYSICAL-APPLY-ON. I did a SQL> recover automatic standby database; to get the standby up to date. But I still can not turn on log apply. Anyone know why? I have a SR open but have not got any help with the problem
