SARM usage

Hello, I have a question relating to information gathering using SARM. We are using a UNIX environment for both the webserver and Siebel server. I have successfully configured all SARM parameters within the server configuration of the Siebel server. I have not configured any environment variables on the webserver. Therefore I'm only generating SARM files on Siebel server and not on the SWE side.  Whenever I run a query through Sarmanalyzer or Sarmquery to aggregate user information the only user I get information on is ?UNKNOWN?. is this related to the fact that I have not enabled SARM on the
