Oracle 11 g database Consumes all available swap space and fails to come up.

Hello,

We recently did an upgrade from 10g to 11g (11.1.0.7) in production and we noticed that when we bring up a database with its original configuration of 128 gb it consumes all available swap area. 

This did not happen in 10g but in 11g it is. 

 

Any ideas or direction on where to look would be appreciated.  let me know if there are any questions.

 

OS - Sun Solaris 10

Machine - sun4u sparc

256 GB mem

16 cpu's
