Installation of Oracle database and Linux SLES 11.

Hello to the community:

I am writing to consult regarding a test performed to install on a HP proliant DL380 G7 x86, Linux Suse Server and Oracle Database Standard Edition, which I have had some difficulties to maintain the services of the database oracle above, and continually pulling services.

Regarding the RAM I have 40 GB, of which the swap
I've tried with 18 and 20 GB but I can not succeed, I think it could be that the difficulty, however consult them about it, for any incident that may occur. In addition to increase to 30 Gb swap completely blocked the server.
