Batch type ## for prior year adjustments

Question:  Does batch type ## allow users to enter AND post to a prior year without rolling back the GL period, or does it only allow entry of the prior year JE, but the period must be rolled back to post to the PY.

Trying to figure out if we have an issue or not.
