Service Procurement - Job Category mapping

Hi

I am trying to configure service procurement to my client and when I try to map the job to the category , I get the following error message

"Please specify a category in the Purchasing category set."

Purchasing was configured more than 8 years ago and the default category set associated to Purchasing Functional area is 'Inventory'

I understand I cannot change the default category set once it is configured.

How can I proceed with the job to category mapping when the default category set  for Purchasing is set to Inventory and there are requisition and orders raised in Purchasing.

Has anyone encountered this problem?
