How to install only appstier components without including database(want to use old DB) in R12.....

Hi,

We are planing to install only applications part i.e:APPL_TOP,COMMON_TOP,.. and want to use old database in production because it has some issues perticuler to applications tier.

Can any one suggest me,do we have any options to install only appstier....
