Upgrade 10gR2 to 11gR2

Hai,
i have a 10.2.0.4 Database and want to upgrade it to 11.2.0.2.
The 10gR2 is installed on a Windows Server 2003 R2 and i want to install the 11gR2 on a Windows Server 2008 R2.

the internet told me the following way ;-)  :
1. Install 11gR2 on the Windows Server 2003 R2

2. Upgrade database

3. Backup / Restore on Windows Server 2008 R2 server

is there a better way? or should i do it like this?

is there a good metalink-document? i searched for it but didn´t find anything. (maybe the wrong key-words?)
