Question on the number of emagent processes

We are dealing with a performance issue related to high cpu usage on one of the later kernel patches (147440-06 and later) in Solaris. The footprint of the cause of the higher
cpu usage appears to be 4M pages in memory being downgraded to 8K pages.

The Solaris Engineer that I am working with to diagnose the situation would like to know if
the emagent process is started once or do new instances of it get started often?
