Can I attach New SOB to an existing Operating Unit -- Only change is the Calendar in the new SOB

We have a SOB that was created with the Julian Calendar (proper calendar months - Jan1-Jan 31 etc) and the specific Chart of Accounts with EUR as Currency.However, we would like to change the Calendar to use from the Julian Calendar to use the 4-4-5 Garmin Corporate Calendar.
Since the Calendar is the only change - is it feasible that I create a new SOB with the new Calendar, and point it to the old Operating Unit, Inventory orgs etc?
If so, is there a recommended steps that I can follow? I do not want to miss anything.
