Find Asset by Category and Location on Asset Workbench

 Hi everyone,
I have  questions about finding the asset form on Asset Workbench.
When we find by Asset Category, we don't need to select all of the category segments. But when find by Location, we need to select all of the location segments.
Is this the standard? why can't we select only 1 segments for location then find?
