Why LE is not a mandatory field in AP.

Hello experts,

I have a small (may be silly) doubt/clarification.

We see that LE  is a mandatory field in AR transactions workbench. But why it is not so in Payable's.  In Payable's  no where we enter LE as a mandatory value.

please clarify.
