Significance of 'CIP grouped by client extension' Grouping method for project types

Hi,

Can you please share what is the significance of grouping method 'CIP grouped by client extension' selected in the Capitalization Information of Project Types form?

The background of looking for this info is:

We have a restriction in Oracle Asset Tracking such as

'Asset generation will only be done for projects with project types, which have User Defined Grouping Method as CIP method.'(Here they are referring to the 'CIP grouped by client extension' grouping method).

So,we are tying to understand as What is the difference between this grouping method and other methods such as Expenditure type etc that are not supported in Asset Tracking,from the point of view of Asset Capitalization.
