Information removed when changing address

An order was being entered and a line was created on the order when the CSR had to go back and change the delivery code. In turn when doing this, Oracle removes the S-Contact and Contact. In addition, it also causes the Warehouse  to change. We would like to have a process in place where Oracle does not remove any information already entered.
