Upgrading HFM from 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.x

"Premier Support" for HFM/FDM/BI+ release 11.1.1.3 expires in July 2013, according to Oracle's lifetime support policy.  We are evaluating an upgrade of our HFM/FDM/BI+ applications from 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.x. I would like to start a discussion on topics related to the upgrade, including:

  • Has anyone completed this upgraded yet?  If so, how long have you been in Production?
  • What types of benefits did you realize from the upgrade, specifically on the HFM side (i.e., in order to build a good business case)? 
  • What types of performance improvements have you seen moving from a 32-bit to a 64-bit environment?
