Moving from a "Classic" HFM 11.1.1.3 application to Calculation Manager

We are evaluating the potential of migrating our HFM 11.1.1.3 application VB Script business rules to Calculation Manager, without implementing EPMA.  I'd like to start a discussion on related topics, including:

  • Has anyone gone through the conversion outside of a release upgrade?
  • Is the 11.1.1.3 version of Calculation Manager stable, or would you recommend upgrading to another release?
  • How significant are the benefits, once you fully convert (e.g., documentation, audit trail)?
  • How much manual effort was involved in re-writing the business rules, after running them through the conversion wizard, to make your flowcharts useful?
  • Did you re-write any of your VB Script rules, to facilitate the conversion?
