Impacts of Finance changing operating units i.e. from dummy set of books to ledgers in HRMS

Hi there -

I have seen the note in Metalink Can The Note APP-FND-02939 Be Ignored When Updating An Operating Unit Short Code? [ID 1267464.1] that the error can be ignored, I was just wondering what the impacts would be be on HR orgs with classifications of operating units when these are updated?
