Multiple Approval hierarchies inside Operating unit

Isn't is possible to have two dufferent requisiton approval hierarchies within the same operating unit? Only one can be the default and users can toggle to the other one if they want to? Is that correct?

There may be users who are common to both hierarchies.

Please advise.
