Required attribute error message

Hi All,

In the Administration - Product tab, under the Product definition view, we can set the attribute of the product as 'Required' = Y.
So that when the user tries to configure that product, the required attribute is marked with '*' as indication of mandatory and if that is not populated, then an error message is populated.

From which web template .js file is this error message triggered?

Customer is facing the issue with the error message NOT getting populated.
Only the attribute is marked with '*', but no error is populated when user leaves that attribute blank.
