Report in Not Showing Data in Template Defined format

 I have a simple group above report using emp and dept tables. I defined its layout in BI publisher desktop. Created data definition and  template definition. But still it showing data in XML format however I am selecting template from options. One thing I noticed that is when I clicked preview in Template Definition it shows exception as shown in attached file.
