OEM grid control 11.1.0.1.0 returns to unix command line after passing checks on /tmp, memory swap s

I am trying to install the oem grid control 11.1.0.1.0 to use an existing database 11gR2 (11.2.0.2) on Redhat unix 5.6. The database resides in the same server but on mount point /u01/......where as the OEM installation is being prepared on the same server but on mount point /u13/.......I have a different user and group (oinstall)) for the oem installer and for the database with the user group (dba). What must i do or not do to overcome this issue of the runInstaller exiting without any error/message as described above.
