RMAN backup and recovery

Hi

I have couple of question in my mind. I need an expert suggesstion as I am quate new in ORACLE.

1. In our office everyday night OARCLE Hot backup automatically scheduled from GRID control. Now I have installed RMAn catalog to anotehr server. Now for adhoc backup (which sometiems required for day to day data fixing) I want to register my prod database under this new RMAN catalog. my question is, if I do this then is there any impact on my Daily Hot backup whcih already scheduled on everyday night. Indeed I will put my backup destination on anotehr server where I recently installed RMANCAt.
