How to make field (based on a VO) on seeded OAF page as non-updatable?

 Hi,I have a field on seeded OAF page, which is based on a VO. My requirement is to make it non-updatable. Not sure if it can be achieved by personalization or customization. Any suggestions in this regard are highly appreciated. Thanks.
