Intercompany posting

We're trying to figure out when a intercompany lines are created in a journal during posting, the following description gets written to gl_je_lines table column description.
Intracompany balancing line added by Posting

Where's the above text coming from?  Could it be a profile option?

Question is is something that can be changed?
