To test the HA features of a 2 nodes cluster, can we simulate an instance failure in RAC without shu

Hi ,
In a 2 nodes environment cluster in 10.2.0.4, and we have several RAC databases running on these 2 nodes.
We want to make some testing on the HA features without impacting all the databases on a particular node.

Is there a way to simulate the failure of only some selected instances and test the FCF/TAF on them without shutdown the whole node?
