GRUB

After rebooting oel 5.7 (64bit) there is a prompt on the monitor with the letters GRUB, can't enter anthing via the keyboard...the last thing that was done were two  upgrades were applied that required a reboot?is there a special handshake required to get beyond GRUB  ???
