Can we do parallel upgrade of RDBMS and Siebel?

Hi All,

I have following questions:

Scenario: DB upgrade from Oracle 10g to 11g
               Siebel upgrade from 7.7 to 8.1 

1. Can we perform both the above activities in parallel? If so, is there any documentation available?
2. As per Oracle Doc#782058.1, we have to perform RDBMS upgrade first and then Siebel upgrade. Instead doing the reverse recommonded? If so, is there any documentation available?
