year-end reclass

Hello,

We had some account combinations that were misclassified.  we ran the Oracle recommend script to classify them correctly.  We did this in test however we are in Mar-12 in test so we are not at a point to close a year.  I would like to test this before moving to production.  does anyone have any recommendations how to recreate this scenario since we are not in December?  Normally we close December and it automatically rolls the P&L to retained earnings.  Unfortunately the accounts we had to reclassify are Owners' Equity accounts. 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
