Usage of RP filter

Hi All,

DB version is 11.2.0.2. RAC check tool gives us a warning " a consequence of having rp_filter set to 1, Interconnect packets may potentially be blocked/discarded. Read the note rp_filter for multiple private interconnects and Linux Kernel 2.6.32+ [ID 1286796.1]. "  Our kernel version is 2.6.18-194.el5 #1 SMP.   But the doc id mentioned by RAC check tool is for Linux kernel 2.6.32+.

Do we still have to change the net.ipv4.conf.default.rp_filter  to 2 from 1??
