Consumption of CTO Forecast in ASCP

Hi,

I wanted to understand how and at what level forecast consumption happens in a CTO environment in ASCP.

Consider the following example

MODEL 1

    -OPTION CLASS

         --OPTION A   (Planning Per - 60%)

         --OPTION B   (Planning Per - 40%)

Now lets say there is a Sales Order of qty 20 for MODEL1 and Org and DC.
On using the Configurator in Oracle Ebs, we select OPTION A and then Progress Order to create a star item say 
MODEL 1*234.

Now in the above scenario, the questions I have are:

1) At what level should I maintain forecast in Forecast set, so that the consumption happens in ASCP.
