Best Practice for Global Marketing Team using ODM

Does anyone have any insight around a global deployment of ODM? We have a client with Marketing teams in several countries and several languages.
Should we look at a single ODM instance? I can see benefits from a branding point of view, but what about making sure the US don't email Australian clients etc. I'm sure segmentation can take care of this, but are there any best practice ODM processes that might help?
