Time format from MM/DD/YYYY to DD/MM/YYYY

I have created a workflow on the appointments however although I see the start and end time on the appointment in the format DD/MM/YYYY when it comes in the email it shows MM/DD/YYYY. This can be confusing at times, i was wondering where i can change this? I couldnt find something on the company administration record..
